And we’re off!
Welcome to the inaugural post on this very hastily slapped together travel blog. I hope that you, dear visitor, enjoy your time here. For this first trip here, my travel companion and I will be visiting Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia.
This trip is also my first attempt to avoid checking bags and traveling light. Starting off with a Tortuga Outbreaker pack, which I’m already seeing is great for domestic trips, but might not be the best in dealing with international carry-on weight limits. More on this bag in another post.
Along with that, got a Neat Pack as my “personal item” and my day bag. While it might be small, it’s certainly no slouch for how much it can hold so far.
In airport news, we decided to fly on Thanksgiving eve, and fortunately security for international was pretty chill. Pre-check/Global Entry has already paid off, entire time through security took 45 seconds. This I could get used to.
For now, we will be chilling at the airport, we now have three hours to kill. See you on the other side. Here’s one of many art installations at SFO.
