Dancing on Water

Today was mostly a transit day, heading back from the cruise ship and back to Hanoi. Before they took us back to Hanoi, we stopped by Yen Duc Village for the water puppet show.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t understand most of it, but from the small blurbs they prefaced each number with, they talked about their agricultural life, new life, and other aspects of rural life.

After the water temple, we jumped back into traffic all the way back, and more nimble weaving back to Hanoi. Once back, we got to our hotel, Serenity Villa, we checked-in, and got an upgrade to their top floor suite.

We decided to have a lazy night in and ordered room service, which was a dinner from their sister hotel. We had beef grilled in bamboo, beef and bean stew, sweet potato fries, and a Vietnamese pancake.

Tomorrow sees us off to Hue. Good night!
