Just a bit of a garden

After much flying, which is never fun when you are recovering from a cold, we have finally arrive in Munich.

Before we got there, we had to take a flight from Ireland, which was a nice flight right after dawn, and what we could see of the country on our way out, it was gorgeous.

Before we could explore our destination, we had to make a pit stop at the museum cafe, as it had been some time since we ate.

One of my friends had the mushroom soup with fruit and granola and the rest of us had the meatballs and potato salad special. I also had the homemade lemonade soda. The portion looks small, but was certainly filling.

Our first destination was the Nymphenburg Palace. This was the summer residence of former rulers of Bavaria.

The grounds was too large for us to cover in the time we had left, however we did have time to visit some of the other buildings on the grounds, including the carriage house, the Badenburg, Pagodenburg, the view from Grand Cascade back toward the palace, and the Amalienburg, respectively above.

Needless to say, we were drained after having been up for well over 30 hours, so we called it an early night after we got to our AirBNB. Dinner was just some food from the grocery store. Tomorrow we’re off to see a castle!
