Some days you just have to chew your way through
Today turned out to be not much other than wandering around and eating, so let’s dig in. Breakfast for most of the group was onigiri, and various bao.
I found out that there was a curry cheese bao, and promptly had to have that.
We walked over to Nagoya Castle, only to find out that the majority of it was under renovation. However, some snacks did happen, and we walked around the grounds.
After we were done here, it was pretty cold and windy, so we decided to head back to the mall and see about something in the food court. Along the way, though, we found a outdoor fair encouraging people to travel to other countries, and other areas of Japan.
After freezing some more outside, we headed into the mall, and found more mascots that people were swarming.
The group decided they were too tired to deal with going out for dinner, we did konbini dinner. There was some instant noodles (that were quite amazing). Among the other items consumed: inari, mikan jelly, and hard-boiled egg.
Tomorrow we’re off to Tsu…and UNAGI! I leave you with the stone master from Nagoya Castle, Kato Kiyomasa, who oversaw construction of the stone walls. Good night!
